SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 22 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Podemos Canarias has announced this Thursday that next October its primary election process will begin with which the candidates of the Canary Islands Parliament, councils and city councils will be designated for the next regional and local elections.
The elections will be coordinated with those of the rest of the territorial organizations of the purple formation and will be held between October 10 and November 4.
Thus, this Thursday the verification process of registered men and women begins and from the training the “enormous expectation” with which they approach a process that they conceive as “the first step of an exciting journey” that begins this October is highlighted in a note and will end next May.
Laura Fuentes, regional coordinator of the organization, has claimed the primaries as “sign of identity of a project made by and for the people, in which the registered men and women are the ones who define the place towards which we are advancing and which colleagues represent us in every moment and in every institution”.
Fuentes described as “immense pride” the participatory dynamic that gives rise to the election of candidates in its formation, recalling that “Podemos continues to be a reference of democratic values inside and out, in a political scenario in which primaries do not are not the rule but a shining exception”.
