The City Council of Granadilla de Abona proceeded yesterday to prohibit bathing, provisionally, and to close the beaches of Pelada, La Jaquita, El Cabezo and Playa Chica, in Medanoafter the rains that occurred on Monday.
The Municipal Administration adopted this decision as a precaution and to guarantee safety in these bathing areas, awaiting the results of the pertinent counter-analyses being carried out by the Consistory itself.
As soon as the analyzes are suitable for the bathroom, they will be opened. Two weeks ago the Central, El Chinchorro and La Tejita beaches were closed, also due to the effects of runoff.

Autumn will start in the Canary Islands with light rains and a predominance of high cloudiness, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (aemet). It is expected that this Friday, the 23rd, it will dawn cloudy on the islands with the highest relief, with a low probability of weak precipitation during the early morning, tending to cloudy intervals in the afternoon.
