The City Council of Santiago del Teide has approved the granting of subsidies, through the competitive public tender procedure, of aid equivalent to 90% of the full IBI fee, to collaborate in the costs of the habitual residence.
Neighbors who prove their status as pensioners, long-term unemployed, people with dependent family members with disabilities or victims of gender-based violence, who pay the real estate tax of their habitual residence, who have a vulnerable social economic situation and that meet and prove the requirements specified in the Regulatory Bases.
The deadline for submitting applications ends on October 5, and the financial benefit is intended for the following groups:
* Pensioners who receive a payment from a public body, due to retirement, widowhood, orphanhood or disability, or their spouse, if they are the owner of the home.
* People with disabilities (Functional or intellectual diversity) or with dependent relatives with said condition: the owner of the dwelling must have a recognized disability equal to or greater than 65%; or the applicant must prove living with a relative
up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity in a direct or collateral line that has a degree of disability equal to or greater than 65%.
*Long-term unemployed (or your spouse if you are the homeowner). For these purposes, long-term unemployed are understood to be those people who are registered as job seekers in the corresponding Public Employment Services, with a minimum and uninterrupted seniority of twelve months, prior to the date of application for this subsidy. .
*Victims of Gender Violence: those who certify through a court ruling or restraining order that recognizes such a situation.
In order to receive this aid, it will be an essential requirement that the beneficiary be registered and reside in Santiago del Teide with a minimum of one year’s seniority in the home for which the subsidy is requested. In addition, you must be the owner, usufructuary or owner of a surface right on the home where you usually reside, provided that it is located in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, and that, in addition, you appear as obligated to pay on the IBI receipt in relation to said dwelling.
Finally, the income of the family unit must not exceed the established limits and they must not own more than two homes, among other requirements.
