The Municipal Group of the Canarian Coalition-PNC of Vilaflor de Chasna denounces that the local government of the PSOE «has not executed even 5% of the works contemplated within the Municipal Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo for the improvement and expansion of the supply warehouses and of the main drinking water distribution branches in the municipality ”.
The nationalists explain that the Island Government Council of December 3, 2019, upon request of the Vilaflor City Council, agreed to increase the economic amount of said plan from 593,000 to 1,261,000 euros and set a new execution period until June 30 of this year. “However, on June 18, the City Council sent a letter to the island council requesting an extension of the execution period of the works, citing reasons such as registration, expropriations or stockpiling of material from tendered projects,” the nationalists lament.
CC-PNC details that “in the agreement of the Insular Government Council, one of the arguments put forward to extend the execution period until June 30, 2023 is that the City Council had only executed 4.22% of the works ». For the nationalist group, «this is not another example of the disastrous management of the local government of the PSOE in the municipality in the matter of water, and more so when Vilaflor is the only one of the 31 municipalities of Tenerife to which the management of the entire amount contemplated in the Cooperation Plan to solve the supply water problem ”.
The works of this plan were agreed by the previous municipal government, formed by CC-PNC and PSOE, but “they continue without being executed, like others of previous plans.”
