The National Police has dismantled a drug sales point in the Las Verónicas shopping center, in the Las Américas area (Tenerife), by unmasking an alleged club of marijuana consumers in which narcotic substances were sold irregularly.
At the time of searching the premises there were numerous people, mainly customers, as well as active members of the association, and three people were arrested for a crime against public health.
These are the president of the association, a 27-year-old Belgian, and two active members, one of Venezuelan nationality, 26, and another of Senegalese nationality, also 26.
In addition, the agents seized 3.9 kilos of marijuana as well as more than 15,000 euros in cash and two mobile phones, and sealed the premises.
The Police had verified the proliferation of this type of associations in the area, which is why they had increased surveillance and control of them, he says.
In this case, a suspicious club was learned as a result of an official letter from the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife requesting that special surveillance of the activities, entrances and exits of people in it be arranged.
In these surveillances, the Police verified the continuous entry and exit of foreigners who remained inside the premises for a few minutes, which is why they requested judicial authorization to enter and search.
