The Soplo de Letras Festival celebrates its sixth edition this year with workshops, concerts, theater, humor and literature in Villa de Tegueste. Organized by the Uvedevida Cultural Association, this event turns the municipality into one of the main cultural and artistic centers of the Island in September and October, and aims to pay homage to the word through the different artistic disciplines.
The Town Hall Square, the Príncipe Felipe Theater and the Farmer’s Market will be the main stages of the event, which has also scheduled performances in the Aula Magna of the University of La Laguna (ULL). The Councilor for Culture of Tegueste, Antonio López, celebrates the continuity of the festival in the municipality, and adds: «It is an important event for us because it places the name of Tegueste on the national cultural scene and because it allows us to promote the festival more widely. art and its importance for life.
In addition, and consistent with the social commitment acquired in 2021, the festival renews this year the initiative No es no. Only yes is yes against sexist aggression and sexist violence.
