The fee reduction will apply to regular users through the different monthly subscriptions.
To benefit from the discount, users they do not have to carry out any additional procedureonly renew their subscription on a regular basis, as they did until now, reports the Cabildo in a note.
The First Vice President and Minister of Mobility, Enrique Arriaga, explains that the resident pass will cost 19 euros per month and the youth, senior and disabled passes will cost 15 euros. In addition, the pass for 5 tram trips will be paid at half price, as will the social vouchers.
Arriaga recalls that in the Cabido they have enabled an item of 10 million euros that will allow the reduction of rates to be maintained by 34% from January 1 and adds that they will continue working so that the discount “is maintained next year with the help from the Canarian Government and the State”.
Every month an average of around 50,000 people use the public transport pass in Tenerife and the most used is the youth pass, with 30,687 users, a demand that is expected to increase between 10 and 15% with this measure.
