Arrested in Tenerife with more than 200 marijuana plants. Agents of the Civil Guard and the National Police Corps, within the framework of the collar operation, have arrested a 53-year-old man, a resident of the municipality of La Victoria de Acentejo, who had an indoor marijuana plantation at his home. He is accused of a alleged crime against public healthin its forms of cultivation and drug trafficking.

During the investigation carried out in recent months, according to which various steps and investigative actions have been carried out, the agents have obtained evidence that could confirm that the now detained distributed the drug from his hometaking advantage of the difficulties of access to it, knowing that it adopted important security measures to control, prevent or delay a possible imminent police action, which provided security and foresight.

After the investigators managed to verify and document the aforementioned illicit activity, the competent Judicial Authority authorized the entry and home registrationwith the participation of agents from various units of the Civil Guard and the National Police Corps.

During the registration, the agents seized various narcotic substances ready for sale: 460 grams of hashish; 26 grams of cocaine; 8 grams of ecstasy, and 50 grams of marijuana. Likewise, tools were intervened for its distribution, such as precision scales and plastic wrappers, as well as the dismantling of two marijuana plantations in its indoor modality, with the apprehension of 219 plants in different stages of growth of said species, and necessary material. for maintenance and growth support: halogen lamps, electric power amplifiers, fans, extractor fans and distributors. These plantations were installed in internal rooms of the property.

also seized firearm ammunition caliber 9 millimeters, white weapons and an extendable baton, as well as a multitude of electronic devices such as mobile phones, a laptop and a counterfeit bill detection machine.

The illicit activity carried out by the now detainee had generated a social alarm throughout the region, when the residents of the large influx of consumers to the drug distribution point, which generated uneasiness among the inhabitants of the area.

The detainee, along with the instructed proceedings, was placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court number 1 of La Orotava, which decreed his entry into provisional prison.
