Diego Molina and Victoria Sosa were the absolute winners in the men’s and women’s categories of the XXV edition of the Santiago del Teide Swimming Crossing, which took place last Saturday over an approximate distance of 950 meters between La Arena beach and Port of Santiago.
In the men’s category, the podium was as follows: Diego Molina from the CN Martiánez team finished in first place with a time of 15:42, second place went to Airam Peraza from the Tenerife Master with a time of 17.05 while Carlos Pérez from the team finished third. Headswimming with a time of 17:22.
In the female category, Victoria Sosa from the CN Martiánez team finished in first place with a time of 17:12, Sherezade Sigut from the CD Teneteide team came in second place with a time of 18:38 while third place went to the local swimmer Dácil Hernández of the Royal Swimming Club with a time of 20:52.
Regarding local participation, the prizes went, in the men’s category, to José Carlos Sánchez of the Santiago del Teide Triathlon team with a time of 19:08, second place went to Jorge Díaz Hernández with a time of 20:23 and third place went to Gustavo Hitti Vargas with a time of 20:29.
As for the local women’s category, the result was as follows: Dácil Hernández from Club Natación Reales finished in first place with a time of 20.52, Belén Socas from the Isora Swin team finished in second place with a time of 23:34 and in third place Raquel Jiménez León entered the El Mayorazgo Sports Complex with a time of 24:39.
Also, other no less important categories entered the fray, such as functional diversity, in which Alejandro Meneses of the AD Tensalus team won in the male category with a time of 16:36 and in the female category, Leyla Salomé Lucena of the Tensalus team won with a time of 24:14 as well as minor categories for children between the ages of 9 and 14.
The First Deputy Mayor, Ibraim Forte, the Councilor for Sports, Juan Carlos González, and the Councilor for Human Resources, Alexandra León, were present at the award ceremony.
