The area of highways Council of Tenerife will act urgently island road TF-342located in the municipality of Los Realejos, due to the instability of a slope and the risk of landslides in Tenerife that compromise the safety of the road.
The councilor for the area, Enrique Arriaga, explained in a statement that the work will consist of the removal and replacement of the security mesh affected by the landslide and the elimination of all the unstable slope materialamong which is a large rock, works that will culminate with the replacement of security elements.
Arriaga has also indicated that the action is expected to be carried out in two months, and a budget of 22,457 euros has been allocated for this.
For his part, the insular director of Highways, Tomás Félix García, has reported that the work will be carried out during daytime hours, for which it will be necessary to close the road during times when materials may fall on it.
García recalled that this emergency action is carried out thanks to Conservation technicians, who constantly monitor and maintain the island’s roads to reduce the landslide risk in Tenerife on the road.
