The area of highways Council of Tenerife acts of urgency on the insular road TF-342, in the municipality of The Realejos. The teams of Road Maintenance they checked the instability of a slope and the risk that they occur landslides that compromise the security of the way. Therefore, urgent action will be taken in the area.
The Councilor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, explains that the works will consist of the removal and change of the affected safety mesh due to landslide, removal of all unstable material of the slope, between which is a large rocksome works that will culminate with the replacement of security elements.
Arriaga points out that the action is expected to be carried out in two months and to this end a budget of 22,457 euros.
The Island Director of Highways, Tomas Felix Garcia informs that the works will be carried out in daytime therefore it will be necessary road closure during times when materials may fall into it.
Likewise, García recalls that Conservation technicians make a constant surveillance and maintenance on the roads of the island to reduce the risk of landslides on the road.
