SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 10. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife (Titsa), a company of the Cabildo de Tenerife, will launch a special reinforcement device for the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, adding around 125,000 additional seats from June 23 to 26.
The first vice president of the Cabildo, Minister of Mobility and president of Titsa, Enrique Arriaga, highlights in a note that the bus thus becomes a “reliable, comfortable and safe” alternative for travel during the Carnival celebration, guaranteeing easy access to Santa Cruz and a more agile return.
In addition, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna interchanges will remain operational at dawn from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday.
The company has planned night schedules on 12 lines that connect Santa Cruz de Tenerife with different points on the island: 014 and 015 (La Laguna), with frequencies every 15 minutes at least; 102, 104 and 108 (Tacoronte, La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz); 111 and 711 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Costa Adeje); 120, 122 and 128 (Güímar Valley), as well as 231, 232 and 233 (Taco, Cardonal, Las Chumberas and Finca España).
In coordination with the Local Police of Santa Cruz, road closures affected by Carnival events will be planned, communicating them mainly through the Titsa mobile app, through the web www.titsa.comsocial networks, information panels on buses and on the street, and information at bus stops.
The services scheduled for Carnival nights will allow for extra trips on lines 908, 910, 933, 934, 936, 972 and 974.
A frequency of 20 minutes on the 934 and 30 minutes on the 936 will also be guaranteed for residents of Añaza, Santa María del Mar-Los Alisios, Barranco Grande and Tincer.
Likewise, line 908 will have night services every 20 minutes during Carnival nights, in addition to the usual services of line 971.
For its part, line 972 will have reinforcements on its departures from Cuesta Piedra every night of Carnival, adapted to demand.
During Saturday and Sunday, lines 906, 908, 910, 934 and 936 will have working day hours.
These same lines will count for the return of the Carnival during the early morning hours with special reinforcement services on demand departing from the Interchange with destination to the different neighbourhoods.
