To execute this action, the Porto Town Hall assures that “in the first place, a detailed study has been carried out for the geolocation of each one of the specimens, which has made it possible to assess the situation of each palm tree and carry out an action plan that has consisted of the stocking of dead specimens and the consequent replacement, with application of phytosanitary treatments and soil corrections to the entire palm grove. In addition, the environment has been improved with species such as Canarian lavender, hibiscus or oleander.
“This action, the improvement and beautification of the area, also allows us to monitor the health and pruning of the palm trees, which helps to extend their life,” he explains. the socialist councilor Flora Perera. His area will continue these works together with the concessionary company of this municipal service.
