SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 31 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Insular Directorate of Planning of the Territory and Historical Heritage of the Cabildo de Tenerife has issued today a resolution by which the works that are being carried out in the Puertito de Adeje area, of the Cuna del Alma urbanization, are suspended in a precautionary manner.
As reported by the Island Corporation, the suspension is conditional on the analysis of the technical study, already submitted by the company, to guarantee the protection of archaeological elements.
The complaint filed by the Tegüico Heritage Association before the Island Corporation has led to an inspection on May 24. After this inspection and within the process of reviewing the documentation of the project that the Cabildo was already carrying out, it has been verified that the patrimonial study is not available, a document that the promoting entity had presented to the Government of the Canary Islands although not to Island Corporation.
Therefore, the Cabildo has requested said report from the entity to analyze it and be able to issue a technical resolution in this regard to guarantee the protection of the existing heritage assets in the area and until that happens, the suspension will be maintained.
The resolution issued today, Tuesday, will be notified to the promoting entity, the Adeje City Council and the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the Government of the Canary Islands.
