SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 31 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
A canoe with 46 migrants on board, all sub-Saharans, has arrived on the island of El Hierro this Monday, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2 and Maritime Rescue sources.
Apparently, the boat has reached the dock of La Restinga by its own means and the salvamar ‘Adhara’ of Salvamento Marítimo has collaborated in the docking. Already on land, they have been assisted by health personnel from the SUC and the Red Cross.
45 men and one woman were traveling in the canoe, who stated that they had left Mauritania six days ago. As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center, all were in good health.
