The plenary session of the Cabildo unlocks the inclusion in the 2022 budget of more than 115 million euros of the remaining treasury from last year, which will be destined fundamentally to investments in employment, SMEs, education and strategic works. After the rejection of the five amendments of the PP and the 42 of the CC, the 16 supports of PSOE, Cs and Sí Podemos Canarias make possible the approval. He values that “these have been an important instrument to combat the crisis derived from the pandemic and in which we will invest another seven million because they are still quite necessary.”
The president highlights the subsidies to the municipalities, for five million euros, to mitigate the rise in electricity prices, related to water consumption, mainly in wells. For the distribution, not only the population data will be taken into account, but it will also be linked to those consumptions.
Peter Martin It also refers to the more than six million euros earmarked for the primary sector, which will include direct aid for the marketing of tuna, one million for subsidies to livestock farms and the commissioning of the study of the Livestock Plan of the Island.

The island director of Mobility, José Alberto León, appeared in plenary to explain what has been done in these almost two years since the adoption of the plenary agreement of June 2020 in defense of the taxi sector on the Island.
Among the eleven points approved then, the call for the Insular Taxi Board and the improvements in the conditions of professionals at the two airports stand out. For the opposition “nothing has been done.” León denies it and specifies that in the sanctioning chapter more than 1,300 files have been opened in addition to increasing inspections against intrusion year after year.
