Los Realejos helps the unemployed who recover abandoned farms

The Municipality of Los Realejosthrough its Department of Rural Development, directed by Alexis Hernandez (PP)launches a new line of subsidies to promote the recovery of abandoned agricultural land in the municipality. Is about a new incentive for the start of an economic activity among unemployed people, “which must be justified with the own expenses that carry the tasks prior to the production of the cultivation area, such as clearing, ploughing, reuse of organic remains, rent for use of agricultural machinery”, details the councillor.

The first deputy mayor of The Realejos, Adolfo Gonzalez (PP)adds that “among the main requirements of this call endowed with 5,000 euros from the municipal coffers is that of being the owner or tenant of agricultural land that has been uncultivated for at least the last three years and that the applicant is unemployedthus fulfilling the dual objective of recovering abandoned land and promoting self-employment for unemployed people».

It is intended with this new helpline encourage abandoned agricultural land to be put back into production, and that once it is suitable for it, the applicant can access the other line of municipal subsidies of The Realejosin this case in species, of seeds and fruit trees, to start the crop with them.

The bases of this call for grants in a competitive concurrence regime can be consulted through the municipal website, where you can also find the corresponding forms to proceed with the formalization of applications, with a deadline for submission until June 20. They can be formalized in person at the Town Hall Citizen Information and Attention Point or via the electronic headquarters, Red ORVE offices or the electronic register of the SARA network.
