SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 16 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Insular Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (Fifede), today launched a new edition of the Tenerife Consumption Bonus with which consumers can make purchases with discounts of up to 60 euros in small businesses and restaurants on the Island.
The Minister of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, Carmen Luz Baso, explained that this new campaign seeks to encourage consumption in small businesses on the Island, at a time when the rise in inflation is affecting the pockets and capacity of purchase of Tenerife families”.
So far, more than 200 establishments from 24 municipalities on the island have registered on the platform. In addition, fifty businesses are pending to provide documentation to formalize their participation in the campaign to which new establishments may continue to join for as long as it is in force.
The term to acquire the bonds and exchange them in the establishments adhering to the program will be open until June 30. To do this, consumers must enter www.bonotenerife.es in which several payment methods have been enabled, such as bank card, PayPal and Bizum, to acquire the vouchers.
Through this initiative, bonds with a total value of 270,000 euros will be placed on the market, which will go directly to shops, cafeterias, restaurants and service-providing businesses.
The minister recalled that in this second edition “we have adapted the rules governing the bonuses, taking into account the suggestions and proposals of the establishments that participated in the first edition and of consumers to make them more attractive”.
In this sense, the main modification introduced refers to the increase in the value of the vouchers, thus increasing the discounts that the consumer can enjoy. In this sense, bonds with amounts of 10, 30 and 60 euros have been put up for sale in which the Cabildo de Tenerife pays 50%, while the other half must be paid by the consumer.
In accordance with the rules of use, each consumer will be able to use a maximum of two vouchers in each purchase, regardless of their value, so it will be possible to obtain discounts of up to 60 euros in one purchase. The business will receive 50% of the value of the redeemed vouchers within a maximum period of two weeks, from the date of purchase.
Another novelty is that each consumer will be able to make two purchases in the same establishment using the vouchers, although they must be made on different days, with the aim that businesses can carry out loyalty actions for customers.
