The analysis of the preliminary draft of the Circular Economy Law, the planning with the Canary Employment Servicethe signing of the protocol with the Ministry of Social Rights for the implementation of the information system for users of social services, as well as the stabilization processes to reduce the temporary nature of public employment were the main issues of the different work commissions discussed yesterday by the Executive Committee of the Federation of Municipalities of the Canary Islands (Fecam), held in El Rosario.
María Concepción Brito, president of Fecam and mayor of Candelaria, highlighted the satisfaction of holding the committee in El Rosario after 26 years. Brito thanked the “welcome, disposition, work and commitment” of the mayor of Rosario, Escolástico Gil, president of the Commission for New Technologies and Transparency. She also pointed out the importance of this meeting to address the different agreements and protocols that Fecam will sign for the benefit of the Canarian municipalities.
The Mayor of El RosarioEscolástico Gil, thanked the celebration of this committee in the municipality and emphasized the role of Fecam in the management of municipalism: «Municipalism would not be understood today without the Canarian Federation of Municipalities, today it would be impossible to manage, because after all it is with the agreements, with the Government of the Canary Islands, which paves the way for you on a day-to-day basis». The meeting was attended by Carlos Couros, Dean of the College of Telecommunications Engineers of the Canary Islands, to address the reduction of the digital gap that many Canarian municipalities still suffer from.
