SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 29. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands has opened the call for subsidies to support non-profit agricultural professional associations in the 2022 financial year. The economic allocation for this line of support reaches 200,000 euros, with which the amount of the year 2020 is doubled.

The objective is to finance the current operating and management expenses of these organizations, in addition to defraying the performance of their training, dissemination and representation activities related to the activity.

Each beneficiary entity may receive a maximum aid of 50,000 euros. Eligible expenses include those derived from the normal operation of the associations, such as those generated by the electricity supply, water, telephone or the contracting of compulsory insurance, among others. It also intends to cover the expenses derived from the purpose of improving technical, economic, computer assistance, as well as those related to safety and hygiene at work and the support of administrative or technical management.

The Minister of the Area, Alicia Vanoostende, explained that this call “helps to deepen the commitment of the Government of the Canary Islands to favor the entities that fight for the primary sector and agricultural training in the Archipelago. All these initiatives are essential to promote the advance of the Canarian countryside”.

Those interested can find the bases of the call in the Official Bulletin of the Canary Islands (BOC) published today, Tuesday, March 29. The period for submitting applications will be open for a month from the day following the publication.
