SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, March 25. (EUROPA PRESS) –

A 30-year-old fisherman has been moderately injured when he fell into the sea from a boat near the coast of Playa Santiago, on the island of La Gomera, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of 112 de Canary Islands.

The events occurred around 9:09 p.m. this Thursday, 32 miles from the municipality of Playa Santiago, a place to which a rescue helicopter from Salvamento Marítimo has been transferred, which upon arrival verified that the fisherman had been rescued by his own companions, therefore, he was removed from said vessel and transferred to the Tenerife South airport.

The affected person was then assisted by the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), which verified that the fisherman showed signs of moderate incomplete drowning, for which he was transferred in a basic life support ambulance to the San Isidro Health Center.

Agents of the Civil Guard also collaborated in the resolution of the facts.
