Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the Investigation area of the Main Post of Candelaria (Tenerife) have arrested a person as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of theft carried out inside a home.
The events occurred during the month of January when a resident of the municipality of Candelaria detected that her 99-year-old mother was missing money from her purse periodically and in small amounts.
Already in February he was able to verify that the jewels that his mother had saved, valued at about 5,000 euros, had disappeared, deciding at that time to file a complaint with the Civil Guard.
The agents began an investigation with the aim of clarifying the alleged crime, focusing on the people around the victim and found sufficient evidence to suspect the person who was cleaning the victim’s home, proceeding to his arrest and subsequent recovery. of part of the jewels that had been stolen.
The detainee, together with the proceedings carried out, has been placed at the disposal of the Güímar Guard Court of Instruction.
