A 46-year-old man has been injured in a motorcycle accident on the TF-21 highway, in the municipality of La Orotava, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred around 3:20 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert informing that a motorcyclist had fallen down a slope, after going off the road, and required medical assistance.
Members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium, a basic life support ambulance and a medical helicopter from the SUC, an Immediate Emergency Response Team (ERIE) from the Red Cross and the Civil Guard traveled to the scene.
Members of the SUC and the Spanish Red Cross rescue ERIE, moved to the scene in a sanitized ambulance and activated by the Firefighters Consortium, assisted and immobilized the affected person to evacuate him to the area where the medical helicopter landed.
From there, once stabilized by the aircraft’s personnel, the motorcyclist was transferred in the aircraft to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria helipad due to a moderate lower limb injury, except for complications.
