The Arico City Council installed three external semi-automatic defibrillators in the Town Hall, on the soccer field and in the Plaza de Abades located next to the beach. The municipal government tries to make available the tools to provide a rapid response to situations of cardiorespiratory arrest. The investment for this was 6,985 euros.
This installation includes training courses for the people who are going to use these devices. This training will be applied to workers from different areas of the Arico City Council located in municipal offices. In the case of the football field, it will be between the monitors and the person in charge of the venue who will be trained, while in Abades they will be responsible for the surrounding commercial establishments and the diving school, among others.
