The deputy of the Popular Party of La Palma Lorena Hernández Labrador has been appointed president of the Study Commission on the effects of the volcanic crisis and the reconstruction on the island of La Palma, which held its constitutive session today in the Parliament of the Canary Islands .
“We are at a time when all political forces must continue to work hand in hand and from the greatest consensus to continue providing solutions to our neighbors. We have six months ahead of us, in which we must keep an eye on the needs palmeros if we really want a social and economic reconstruction of the island”, defended Hernández Labrador, who welcomed her appointment as president of the Commission.
During the constitutive session, the palmero deputy Jacob Qadri was also appointed as part of the Commission, who recalled that the well-being of the Archipelago “also goes through the recovery of the Isla Bonita, so we must work with agility and efficiency,” he said.
“Now more than ever, all administrations have a duty to make available to the palm growers the tools that are necessary for recovery,” said both deputies.
