The City Council of Candelaria continues in its commitment to work for equality in a transversal way. In this way, the Social Services and Equality area has trained the workers of the Home Help Service (SAD) on how to intervene in situations of gender violence among user families.

The training, which took place in the Punta Larga Youth Zone and took place in two sessions, was led by the expert sociologist in equality policies, Patricia García. During the conference, different issues were discussed, such as the identification of the different verbal, nutritional, pharmacological violence, emotional neglect, physical abuse, neglect of hygiene, isolation, over-demanding care…, as well as the profiles of possible women in situations of dependency who are victims of these cases.
