The progressive removal of dust in suspension in the Archipelago, which has already begun to move away from the Canarian skies since it made its appearance again last Friday, has led to the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies fromThe Government of the Canary Islands to decree today end of the pre-alert due to haze. The end of the yellow warning of this phenomenon has entered into force on all the islands of the autonomous community at 9:30 a.m. this Tuesday, February 1st.
After the haze rains and storms come, so the Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet) will activate tomorrow the yellow level due to rains in the islands of El Hierro, The Palm, La Gomera and Tenerife for accumulated rainfall of up to 15 liters per square meter in one hour. The notice will come into force at 9:00 p.m. this Tuesday in El Hierro and will extend on the island of the meridian until 6:00 p.m. tomorrow. In the other three islands of the western province of the Canary Islands, it will be activated between 00:00 and 18:00 on Tuesday.
Also, they will be in yellow warning for storms El Hierro and La Palma at the same times decreed for the rain, the Aemet has reported.
According to the prediction of the Aemet for tomorrow, Wednesday, in the Canary Islands there will be a predominance of cloudy skies due to medium and high cloudiness. Precipitation will be generalized in the islands of greater relief, which locally could be in the form of a shower and be accompanied by a storm, mainly in the westernmost islands. In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura they will be less likely and of a weak and occasional nature.
There will still be traces of haze. Temperatures will be slightly to moderately rising, except in the north of the islands with greater relief, where a slight decrease in the maximum is expected.
The wind will blow from light to moderate, with an eastern component in the eastern islands and a variable direction in the western ones, without ruling out occasional very strong gusts in the western islands in the early hours associated with convection. In the middle and high areas, the wind will blow from the south with strong intervals, more intense in the central peaks of Tenerife, where very strong gusts are expected.
