Santa Cruz de Tenerife processes four sanctions for graffiti in unauthorized areas



The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife processes four sanctions for carrying out graffiti in unauthorized areas, and the amount of the possible fines ranges between 750 and 1,500 euros, depending on the damage caused and its impact on the heritage of the town.

The sanctioning files are based on individual acts for infraction of the urban landscape ordinance raised by the Local Police at the end of 2021 in General O’Donnell, Gumersindo Robayna Galván, Valentín Sanz streets and at the confluence of Hermanos Logan with Los Molinos.

Several graffiti are attributed to the same person, detailed sources from the capital city council. The ordinance classifies as an infraction any graffiti that causes damage to public space, for which it establishes sanctions that can reach up to 1,500 euros.

In general, the placement of posters, stickers or the like on any element of the urban landscape that is not expressly provided for this purpose is prohibited.

The application of graffiti or painted on any element of the urban landscape is also not allowed, unless expressly authorized.
