The first meeting of the Autonomous Organism of Festivities of Santa Cruz with the groups of the Carnival, that took place yesterday, served to know the provisional calendar of the acts of the Carnival of June. The Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, explained to the groups (Song of Laughter, rondallas, musical groups, troupes and designers) that, in the absence of specifying the place of the celebration of the party, which he hopes will be the Fairground, It already has a calendar, in which the first contest to be held will be that of the rondallas.

Thus, on June 1, the Opening Gala of the Carnival will take place, and on the 4th, the Rondallas Contest, which will go to the Guimerá Theater. The next day, and in the same space, the Song of Laughter will be held.

On Friday, June 10, the Gala for the Election of the Adult Queen will take place at the Fairgrounds, to celebrate the contest of the musical groups on the following day, in the same place. On Sunday the 12th it will be the turn for the choreographic groups contest.

On June 16, the first phase of the Children’s Murgas Contest will take place, the second phase will be held the next day. On Saturday, June 18, it will be the turn for the Comparsas Contest.

On Sunday, June 19, the Queen’s Election Gala and Festival for the Elderly will be held.

The Adult Murgas Contest once again has three phases, which will take place on June 20, 21 and 22, to celebrate the grand finale on Friday the 24th.

The Children’s Queen Election Gala will be held on Saturday June 25 and on Sunday 26 the Rhythm and Harmony Contest will put an end to the Carnival. Among the dates that remain to be specified is the Burial of the Sardine, which will be communicated in the coming days.

“This first meeting has gone very well. The groups have been receptive and willing to collaborate”, explained the Councilor for Fiestas at the end of the meeting that was held at the Fairgrounds. “The rondallas have welcomed the change of location, to the Guimerá Theater, and as we had announced, the competitions that affect the little ones have left at the end of June so that they are not affected by the final exams,” he added. Hair.

As for the designers, they expressed the cost for them of maintaining rented spaces to store the designs until June. “What we have proposed is that they present a claim to the City Council arguing the increase in costs due to the change of dates. It is a kind of claim for amounts, which has a regulated process, with its respective file, ”clarifies the mayor of Fiestas.

Today a second meeting will take place in which the Elderly Groups, the choreographic groups, the children’s murgas and the adult murgas will participate.
