A white blanket of snow that makes it even more majestic and temperatures below zero. This has been the awakening of the Mount Teide this Tuesday morning, when according to the Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet) is still in force yellow warning for winds in Tenerife.
At the moment, already at the top of Canary Islands has endured overnight gusts that reached 73 kilometers per hour, according to Meteoerology data in which, however, the minimum recorded by the thermometers stand out. Until 0.3 degrees below zero in Izaña and just over three degrees in Las Cañadas is the balance of a night that has left as a consequence the stamp of the volcano covered with the expected white mantle.
Of course, it is an image that for the moment is reserved only in short distances. The fog and the haze that are still installed on the Island prevent the white of the snow from being observed from any other point of view. Tenerife.
According to the prediction of Aemet, indicates that in the early hours there will be intervals of medium clouds with little chance of light scattered rain and in the morning and the rest of the day, clear skies without ruling out the presence of haze.
The temperatures will rise slightly and the thermometers will oscillate between a maximum of 21 degrees in Tenerife and a minimum of 13 degrees on the island of El Hierro.
The wind will blow moderately from the southeast on the coasts and from the south in the midlands and high areas, with strong intervals and probable very strong gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour during the early morning in the north and northeast.
Even so, at the moment the maximum gust of wind has been registered in Gran Canaria, where a speed of 103 kilometers per hour in the town of San Cristobal.
