SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Roads area, and the La Victoria City Council, will build a roundabout at the junction of the TF-217 island road and the access road with the TF-5 highway through a collaboration agreement between both corporations.

The first vice president and counselor of Roads, Enrique Arriaga, points out in a note that the Cabildo will invest 390,851 euros in this infrastructure that has been designed in conjunction with the City Council and will give agility to one of the main access points to the municipality while improving the quality and safety of the movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

The insular director of Roads, Tomás Félix García, indicates that it is an area where serious traffic jams occur, which is why he considers that this action, “demanded for some time, will mean a significant improvement”.

The projected action has a circular roundabout with an outer diameter of 30 meters with three branches.

An average of 3,530 vehicles circulate on this road every day and the roundabout is an infrastructure similar to the ones that the Cabildo de Tenerife will build throughout this year and in collaboration with different town councils in the region to increase the comfort and capacity of the road insular TF-217.
