An 18-year-old is in critical condition, while his father is in serious condition after a house caught fire in Icod de los Vinos, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of 112 in the Canary Islands.
The events took place around 8:00 p.m. this Wednesday in a house located on the Hoya Garcés Road of the aforementioned municipality, a place to which members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium moved to extinguish the fire and ventilate the property.
Likewise, the staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assisted the 18-year-old who was, at the initial moment of assistance, with critical burns in 90% of his body, for which he was transferred to the Hospital. University of Our Lady of La Candelaria.
He has also treated a 43-year-old man, who at the initial moment of assistance had serious burns in 60% of his body, for which he was transferred in a sanitarized ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
At the site, a woman and a minor of unknown ages were also assisted without their transfer to a health center being necessary.
At the scene of the incident, agents of the Local Police and the Civil Guard also appeared, who instructed the corresponding procedures and collaborated with the emergency services.
