In a statement, the University indicates that this Tuesday 131 people have been summoned for screening, a total of 20 students enrolled and finally seven attended.
For the past day, the academic center has been contacting those who may be affected so that students can undergo the PCR test at the facilities of the Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health of the Canary Islands, led by researcher Jacob Lorenzo.
The COVID coordination area of the University of La Laguna will determine the affected classrooms by at least two people and the degree, course and group in question will be transferred to the Analysis and Planning Office (GAP).
The Analysis and Planning Office will extract the e-mails of the students belonging to that group and will send them to the Information and Guidance Service to send them an invitation message to the screening program, warning of the imminent appointment for it. The next day the group will be summoned by SMS and by email.
The Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health of the Canary Islands will collect the samples and process them, sending the data to the GAP for notification to interested persons and, subsequently, to the Canary Islands Health Service.
