The City Council of La Guancha announces that the water from the public network is once again suitable for consumption by people over 8 years of age, after water quality analyzes led the General Directorate of Public Health to order maintain the restriction on the intake of water from public supply “only for the population under 8 years of age”

Since last Friday, December 3, the water of La Guancha can be consumed again by the entire population over 8 years of age, according to the government group led by Antonio Hernández (PP). «After the corresponding analyzes, the General Directorate of Public Health communicates to the City Council of La Guancha that the restriction of consumption and use of public water is maintained only in the population under 8 years of age, after verifying that the levels of fluoride, which was the only parameter with which it was not met until now, “they emphasize from the Council.

“A complex situation”

The mayor of La Guancha, Antonio Hernández, reported this change in restrictions on Radio La Guancha: “At last we are recovering normality. It has been a complex situation, our network has many problems, but consumption in the population has decreased and that has allowed us to solve all the problems that have arisen. At last we can say to all the guancheros that the water we offer is again treated water in the plant in its entirety and we hope that in the next analyzes, which we have already ordered, they will confirm that the fluoride values reach the levels established by Health Public so that minors under 8 years of age can also drink public water ».

The Guanchero Consistory emphasizes that the fluoride levels in water established by the General Directorate of Public Health for children under 8 years of age must reflect values below 1.5 milligrams per liter (mg / l).
