SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 26 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through Titsa and Metrotenerife, will reinforce the most important lines that lead to La Laguna from tomorrow, Saturday, given the expected increase in demand and to provide the best possible service on the occasion of the week of La Noche in white.
The First Vice-President and Minister of Mobility, Enrique Arriaga, points out that with this device Titsa and Metrotenerife “offer an agile and comfortable movement that greatly reduces the duration of journeys and avoids difficulties in finding parking in La Laguna.”
The public transport companies of the Insular Corporation are committed to public transport as the best option to attend the events organized in La Laguna. To this end, the bus and tram lines will be reinforced and the interchange car park will be made available to users.
The Titsa company will reinforce this Saturday, as it is the day that the largest number of trips to La Laguna is expected, the usual departures of lines 014 and 015 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife-La Laguna interchange), 050 (La Laguna-Tegueste- Bajamar-Punta del Hidalgo), 101 (La Laguna-La Orotava) and 104 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife-Puerto de la Cruz interchange for Tacoronte).
At the same time, the La Laguna interchange car park will be open, as usual, all morning Saturday night. In addition, the interchange will remain open until 1 a.m. for the convenience of travelers, who can wait in the room on the first floor and in the hall.
In the same way, Metrotenerife will adapt the tram service of Line 1 in the week of celebrations of La Noche en Blanco in La Laguna, from November 27 to December 4. Thus, this Saturday the trams of Line 1 will circulate every ten minutes during practically the whole day (from 10:00 to 22:00) and then do it every fifteen minutes, from 22:00 to 04:00 on Sunday 28. Then, the night intervals will be resumed weekend regulars.
From Monday to Friday the tram will maintain its regular services of five and ten minutes on lines 1 and 2, respectively, to continue facilitating travel to scheduled activities in the municipality of La Laguna.
For the second weekend of La Noche en Blanco, from December 4 and 5, Metrotenerife plans to reinforce once again the service of Line 1 at night. In particular, the frequency of passage will be increased to fifteen minutes from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday 4 to 04:00 a.m. on Sunday 5. Afterwards, the service will continue with the usual frequencies on weekend nights.
