
The Black Week Santa Cruz commercial initiative has managed to bring together almost half a thousand businesses in the city thanks to the different actions promoted by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council through the Development Society. In this way, it has achieved the highest number of historical participation to date of businesses that joined this week that marks the beginning of the Christmas and Kings campaign.
The CEO of the Development Society was pleased to have exceeded the participation figures of previous editions, pointing out that “thanks to the effort we have made together, we are able to support businesses at a time when they need it more than never “, in addition to insisting, in favor of the advancement of the commercial fabric, that” thanks to actions like this one, which aim to boost consumption, we continue to take steps towards improving the overall economic and commercial activity. “
The objective set to get around 400 companies to participate in the campaign was far exceeded, assuming a total increase of 40% in terms of the number of registered businesses, a historical figure that exceeds the maximum until then, located at 405 shops.
Inside the platform present in this link that brings together all the businesses registered on a website, each business can manage its own offers as a showcase, you can find discounts and various promotions with up to 70% off.
Among the different sectors of activity of each of the companies, the most participatory are those of “fashion, sports and accessories” and the sector “health, beauty and aesthetics” that account for more than 50% of the total businesses that joined The initiative. The first with a total of 140 businesses and the second with 120 adhered businesses. Below are other commercial sectors represented as “home, decoration and DIY”, with 37 shops; “Food”, with 31 businesses; “Electronics, telephony and information technology”, with 28 establishments “; the services sector has a total of 27; “Food, drink and hospitality” has 15 registered; “Toy stores, toy libraries and party supplies” has 9 registered, and those included in “other categories”, which add up to a total of 34.
The initiative brings together all those businesses whose economic activity was linked to the retail trade and other hospitality companies, food and beverage services, barbershops, hairdressers, aesthetics, massages, and so on.
Finally, the mayor wanted to make an appeal to citizens, encouraging them to “plan purchases since they have 14 commercial areas in the city, avoiding crowds and trying to advance Christmas shopping, betting on local commerce in the five districts ”, for which he added a reminder with the different car parks that have included offers for this“ Black Week Santa Cruz ”. There are offers in the different car parks in the downtown area such as Parking de Ramón y Cajal, Parking Weyler, Intercambiador, Párking Plaza España and La Ola.
Black Week Santa Cruz is an initiative promoted by the Santa Cruz City Council through the Development Society and that has the financing of the General Directorate of Commerce and Consumption of the Government of the Canary Islands.
