SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Plenary Hall of the Cabildo de Tenerife has hosted a meeting between the Minister of Employment and Economic Development, Carmen Luz Baso Lorenzo, and a selection of participants from the three new employment launches that take place on the island and with which it is trained 65 people.
The meeting was also attended by the territorial coordinator of the Santa María la Real Foundation, Nuria Campón, the Councilor for Youth of La Victoria, Yurena Gutiérrez, and the Councilor for Employment of Adeje, Manuel Luis Méndez.
Carmen Luz Baso highlighted the “commitment of the Cabildo de Tenerife in bringing the methodology of the employment shuttles, which have a high level of labor insertion, to the group of young people, who have unemployment levels that concern us, so we have to work to provide solutions “.
In this sense, Manuel Luis Méndez pointed out “the need to bring training closer to the business reality and that the employment launchers are in the line in which they have been working in the municipality in recent years, to diversify the job offer beyond the sightseeing”.
For her part, Yurena Gutiérrez recalled that “people ask what to do after finishing training and how to look for work, so the shuttle in the municipality came in handy.”
65 people participate in these three shuttles: 49 women and 16 unemployed men, aged between 19 and 30, from different municipalities on the island and different levels of training (ESO, Vocational Training, Baccalaureate and university studies), and they have experience in different professional sectors, such as administration, commerce, customer service, tourism, hospitality, construction, engineering, industry, environmental management, computing, pedagogy, agriculture, aesthetics or sports activities, among others.
