The new building will be built on a 650 square meter plot donated by the El Rosario City Council. to the Canary Islands Government. During the presentation, the director of the SCS explained that it is expected that in the coming weeks the contracting procedure for the construction works of this new building that will improve the health care offered in this area of the municipality of El Rosario can begin, responding to a historical demand of this basic health area of Tenerife. The maximum term of the works will be 14 months, although Conrado Domínguez expects it to be reduced to one year.

Currently, health care in El Rosario is provided at the San Isidro Health Center, which serves 898 children and 6,618 adults with individual health cards, as well as at the La Esperanza office, included in the Basic Health Zone of Laguna -San Benito, according to the current Primary Care Health Map, with 404 children and 4,284 adults.
The San Isidro Health Center is located in a spacious and functional building, of recent construction, that covers the assistance needs of the area. However, the current local Esperanza clinic occupies a municipal-owned building with structural limitations, where it is not possible to carry out an adequate remodeling or adaptation to improve its functional conditions or its portfolio of services. This last building will be the one that will replace the new office.
