SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 16 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The parliamentary study commission on immigration in the Canary Islands begins this Wednesday to receive its first appearances. Starting at 10:00 am, Juan Enrique Quintana Ramos, director of two centers for migrant minors, and Ismael Furió Genovés, president of the Maritime Rescue Committee, will speak.
This parliamentary working body was constituted on September 23 after a meeting where it was agreed that the Board would be made up of Cristina Valido (Grupo Nacionalista) as president, Nayra Alemán (Grupo Socialista) as vice president and Luis Campos (Grupo Nueva Canarias) as secretary.
Subsequently, in the session held by the Commission on October 8, the issues to be addressed and the appearing parties were set. Likewise, the journalist Txema Santana was appointed as rapporteur, to accompany the Commission in all the sessions to be held. It will be he who finally prepares the report with the conclusions reached.
