The delegation of winning students of the Championship Canariaskill 2020, made up of 22 Vocational Training students from the archipelago, will participate from December 1 to 3 in Madrid in the National tests Spainskills 202, where they will show their skills in the professional families of Installation and Maintenance, Hospitality and Tourism, Personal Image, Electricity and Electronics, Wood and Furniture, Mechanical Manufacturing, Health, Commerce and Marketing, Agriculture, Sociocultural Services and the Community and Transport and Vehicle Maintenance .
After their classification in the regional competition, the team will measure their knowledge and skills in 21 competition modalities with the winners from the rest of the Spanish autonomous communities.
The general director of Vocational Training and Adult Education, Rosario Gañán, was interviewed in Gran Canaria and Tenerife with the winning students of each specialty, in order to expose the guidelines for the beginning of the training sessions and the preparation of the test.
He also took the opportunity to congratulate and thank the student representatives for their participation in these skills competitions, “which constitute a valuable informative instrument of Vocational Training and a means to stimulate students, teachers and companies, as well as an exchange platform and a forum. to address the evolution of professional standards, quality and innovation in the different productive sectors “.
The Canarian team is made up of Héctor Santana Afonso and Jorge Blanco Torres (Mechatronics), Nelson Díaz Ramos (CNC milling) Domingo Yanes Hernández (Welding), Carlos Chinea Cabrera (Plumbing and heating) and Irene Hernández Rodríguez (Kitchen), students of the IES Virgen de La Candelaria.
