For the second consecutive year, Güímar celebrated September 7 without the Bajada del Socorro, considered the oldest pilgrimage in the Canary Islands. In addition to the masses in the parish of San Pedro Apóstol – at the end he danced the Danza de Cintas – and in the hermitage of El Socorro and the projection on Facebook of a report on the descent, there were those who walked the Camino del Socorro by title individual to the sound of the pasodoble Al Socorro. Today there will be a mass in the hermitage of the village (10:00 am), and another (12:00 am) in the parish of San Pedro, concelebrated and presided over by the bishop.
