The Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) has managed to immunize 1,509,327 people who have already received the complete vaccination schedule, which represents 76.98 percent of the target population of the archipelago and if the target population is taken as a reference initial – those over 16 years of age – in the Canary Islands, 80.67 percent are already immunized, reports the Ministry of Health.
In addition, 2,968,100 doses of vaccines have already been administered of the 3,373,010 received, which represents 88 percent.
Also, during the past week, between August 23 and 29, a total of 100,561 vaccines have been inoculated.
In the archipelago, 82.63 percent of the target population (that over 12 years of age that amounts to 1,960,774 people) is already vaccinated against COVID-19, since there are already 1,620,232 people who have received, at least one dose of the vaccine.
This means that 86.60 percent of those over 16 years of age (who were the target population when the campaign began) have at least one dose.
At present, groups from 1 to 7 (residents and health and social health personnel of residences; health personnel; large dependents and main caregivers; vulnerable people; groups with essential functions such as teachers and police officers and people with very high-risk conditions) are they are already vaccinated with two doses between 99.5 and 100%.
In group 8, with people between 60 and 65 years old, 82.49 percent have at least one dose and 61.15 percent with a complete regimen and in group 9, with people between 50 and 59 years old, 95, 27 percent have at least one dose and 95.70 percent the complete regimen.
In group 10, people between 40 and 49 years old, 59.13 percent have at least one dose and 75.82 percent have a complete regimen (including those immunized with Janssen, which is a single-dose vaccine) while that in group 11, for those who are 30 and 39 years old, 63.03 percent have at least one dose and 55.78 percent have a complete regimen.
For group 12, people between 20 and 29 years old, 57.78 percent have a dose and 49.59 percent, complete regimen and group 13, for people between 12 and 19 years old, 69.58 percent has a dose and 48.91 percent have a complete regimen.
