Vision Azul Autismo, Association for Awareness on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, is one of the additions this year to the already large group of entities that make up the Insular Ring of Social Policies, thus expanding the scope of action of the specialized social care, in this case, in the north of Tenerife, where this organization carries out its activities.
Through the ExpresaTEA project, of psychological support to families and multidisciplinary activities with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which is financed through their inclusion in the Ring, the entity offers multidisciplinary support not only to people with ASD, but also their families, as a fundamental axis in their quality of life.
The association highlights that “being part of the Insular Ring, along with 36 other social entities, is an opportunity to add resources and work tools to continue carrying out projects that benefit the group of people with ASD and their closest environment.” Through the grant they receive in this first year of inclusion, Vision Azul Autismo “has been able to hire the services of a psychologist to inform, guide, advise and emotionally support the families; a technical in administrative management that is responsible for the organization and implementation of all multidisciplinary activities and disseminate them through the network, and two caregivers-monitors, essential figures especially for boys and girls with high support needs, to that they can be part of any sports, cultural or recreational club, and guide them in their learning ”.

Vision Azul Autismo was founded in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz five years ago to provide a response to many families with sons and daughters with autism spectrum disorder and to fight for their rights from the moment their symptoms appear.
The association offers multidisciplinary activities focused on leisure and sports to achieve, together with pedagogical and speech therapy, a higher quality of life, both for people with ASD and for their families.
