The Department of Tourism of Los Realejos develops an advertising and dissemination campaign on posters and social networks to relaunch and publicize its reservation center for hotel and rural tourism establishments, a digital portal to which 17 accommodations have been added, to date. It is “one more step in its promotional strategy for the attractions of the municipality,” says the local government.
Since this week, a billboard located on the North Highway (TF-5), in the direction of the municipality, makes the slogan Los Realejos visible. What you are looking for is here, with an image of the coastline corresponding to the area around Rambla de Castro. It includes, overprinted, the digital access route to the aforementioned platform, reservas.losrealejos.travel.
The reservation center incorporates hotel and non-hotel establishments, rural houses and hotels, either those located in the historic centers of the town or in the middle of its protected natural spaces. “They are different reasons or ideal locations to spend a night of accommodation in Los Realejos and from there get to know or continue discovering the charms of the town and its people,” says the mayor of Los Realejos, Manuel Domínguez.
The regidor maintains that «We have to flee from that hackneyed and failed concept of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries that Los Realejos it was a dormitory town for the labor force that worked in other locations, especially in the hotel industry in neighboring Puerto de la Cruz. Domínguez defends that it is necessary to “speak without complexes and continue to position ourselves, as we have done for a decade, as a municipality with multiple potentialities and attractions that make us different and complementary to the offer of those other destinations in Tenerife.”
Without being an eminently tourist municipality by definition, there are elements that enhance access to that condition, such as history, heritage, customs, ethnography, gastronomy –with restaurant services and products with their own quality seal–, geography, accommodation offer, active tourism and sport in contact with nature, leisure and other attractions for children. “These are the potentialities of Los Realejos, which in rural tourism, for example, holds the record for accommodation beds on the island”, reflects Domínguez.
The website has been in operation for two years as a portal for accommodation offers and uses all these attractions to make visible and give search, query and reservation options to potential visitors. For the Councilor for Tourism, Isabel Socorro, this tool contributes to the “discovery of this rich and diverse municipality.”
The reservation center provides information on the different conventional hotel establishments, apartments and accommodation dedicated to rural tourism. It also offers the possibility of making a direct reservation, shows photographs and brief texts about its characteristics, benefits and services, as well as its geolocation.
The authorities announce the next incorporation to the portal of vacation rental homes that are duly cataloged and registered as such, in addition to the offers registered by the municipality of activities of a tourist or sports focus in contact with nature that can be developed in Los Realejos , thus facilitating their possible hiring on this digital platform.
