A winery in La Orotava, among the 100 best in the world, according to a prestigious North American magazine

The Spanish wineries González Byass, Marqués de Murrieta, Muga, López de Heredia, Tempos Vega Sicilia, Suertes del Marqués and Buil & Giné are among the 100 best wineries in the world of 2021, according to the ranking from the prestigious publication Wine & Spirits.

Specifically, a total of seven Spanish wineries are present in this classification, which highlights the presence of three wineries rooted in Rioja, another in Ribera del Duero, one in the Canary Islands such as Suertes del Marqués, which is located in the Orotava Valley in Tenerife, and another in Priorat, as is the case with Buil & Giné.

For his part, Marqués de Murrieta continues to receive awards, after the magazine Wine Spectator recognized his Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial 2010 as the best wine in the world, just as González Byass, who recently saw his Vilarnau Ecológico Brut Rosado cava, has been recognized with the Food Award of Spain for the best wine of 2021.
