A huge mural is already being drawn on Calle Castillo in homage to the iconic trumpeter Nilo Caparrosa, a musician much loved by the chicharreros who enlivened walks along the main shopping street of Santa Cruz de Tenerife with his melodies and who died at the end of March this year.

This artistic intervention is located on the corner where the Dominican used to stand to animate the street and where, on so many occasions, he was accompanied by his talented daughter, Sislena Caparrosa, an opera singer who won the program ‘Tú si que vales’.
“The mural will help us never to forget it,” the journalist Elena Falcón shared on her Twitter account along with the images of the advance of the mural.
