From next September 1st Finnair will reconnect Gran Canaria and Tenerife with Helsinki. The capital hosts the Helsinki Biennale contemporary art event until the end of September, as well as being an excellent gateway to Finnish Lapland and other neighboring countries such as the Baltic republics (Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia), Norway, Sweden and Russia.
The frequency with Gran Canaria during the month of September there will be two flights per week (Thursdays and Sundays), which will become three in October (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays) and one flight between November and October. In the case of Tenerife there will be two flights per week in September (Monday and Friday), four weekly flights in October (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday) and one daily, except on Mondays, between November and March.
Coinciding with the resumption of routes, Finnair has launched special offers from 99 euros each way acquiring the tickets during the month of August to fly in the month of September.
The operating hours of this Nordic airline from both airfields are very similar. From Gran Canaria the departure will be at 07:15 hours and ten minutes later from Tenerife South. Arrivals in Helsinki in both cases are scheduled for 3:25 pm. The return will take place at 12:40 p.m. landing in the two Canarian destinations at 5:10 p.m.
Tickets can now be booked in finnair.com. These routes are in addition to those that the airline already operates between Alicante, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca and Helsinki. As of Monday, August 16, the route from Barcelona will resume and on September 2, the start of flights between Madrid and Helsinki is scheduled.
