Canary Islands Focus on Mental Health: 75% of New MIR Seats Dedicated to This Field

Seventy-five percent of the newly established Specialized Health Training (FSE) positions – commonly referred to as the MIR – that the Canary Islands are offering this year will be allocated to enhance the workforce of specialists focused on mental health. Overall, out of the 24 new roles approved by the Ministry of Health, 18 will be set aside to educate doctors, nurses, or psychologists in addressing this healthcare issue.
