SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE Jan. 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Cadena Dial has disclosed this Thursday the roster of artists set to receive the ‘Dial Tenerife Award’ on March 20 on the island, including Manuel Carrasco, Dani Martín, Carlos Rivera, Amaral, Antonio Orozco, Rosario, Pablo López, Marta Santos, Edurne, Vanesa Martín, David DeMaría, Chenoa, Dani Fernández, Álex Ubago, Antoñito Molina, Bombai, and Estopa.

Additionally, the awards will commemorate the centenary of Celia Cruz’s birth with a Special In Memoriam Award dedicated to the ‘Queen of Salsa’.

The Cuban vocalist Lucrecia is set to perform as part of this homage, celebrating one of the most significant figures in music history.

The awards night, which consistently offers unique duets and surprises, will also include a special appearance by the Sevillian artist Pastora Soler, as highlighted in a statement from the network.

Vicent Argudo, Music Director of PRISA Media, emphasised the significance of music in the Spanish language and the pivotal role that the station undertakes: “Dial leads the narrative of music in Spanish. Our language is a cultural asset that must not be lost. What we accomplish here is top-tier and we shall showcase it on March 20.”

For her part, Leire Martínez expressed her enthusiasm regarding this new opportunity, stating that she feels “delighted.”

“When you are invited to the awards, the answer is a definite yes. The recognition from Dial and the island towards the artists encapsulates the beauty of music’s intra-history,” she remarked.

Edurne, who has hosted the gala in recent years, expressed her excitement to “hand over the reins to such a remarkable individual and artist like Leire; she truly deserves the finest,” while Pablo López was thrilled to be returning to the Dial awards, confessing that he has always viewed these awards “as a sort of dream experience.”

Chenoa conveyed her gratitude to the station for its unwavering support throughout her career, describing it as her “family” that has “respected, cherished, and embraced” each of her endeavours, while Dani Fernández reminisced about his first experience at the awards when he did not win and resolved to “return every year”.

VANESA MARTÍN: “IT IS A RADIO THAT BUILDS LOYALTY”

Vanesa Martín underscored the station’s contribution to artists’ careers: “Cadena Dial champions identity and has lasting impact. It is a radio station that cultivates loyalty.”

Juan Aguirre, from Amaral, expressed gratitude for the award, and Eva Amaral was elated to always return to Tenerife, noting that the prizes are “immensely enjoyable.”

Marta Santos, celebrating her first award, acknowledged her disbelief at being a winner, calling it “a dream.” “I am exceedingly grateful and I hope these are not just my initial Dial Awards and that many more are to come,” she expressed.

During Thursday’s gathering, Lope Afonso, vice president and tourism advisor of Cabildo de Tenerife, highlighted that “the event evolves into both a challenge and an aspiration each year,” while the CEO of Tourism of Tenerife, Dimple Melwani, praised “the wonderful family formed by the awards and the island, transforming it into a dream gala on a stunning island.”

The event retains its social commitment by collaborating this time with TeidELA, an NGO focused on enhancing the quality of life of individuals affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and providing support to their families.

The awards will stand in solidarity with this organisation, which advocates for improvements in all aspects related to the care of those suffering from this condition within the Canary Islands, encompassing research, regulation, and both social and health services.
