Tickets for the Extraordinary Draw of the ‘El Niño’ Lottery 2025 have surpassed 37.5 million euros in the Canary Islands, as per provisional figures released this Monday by Loterías y Apuestas del Estado and reported by Europa Press.
By province, sales in Santa Cruz de Tenerife totalled 20.3 million, representing a 3.25% increase compared to the previous year, at a rate of 19.16 euros per resident, while Las Palmas recorded sales of 17.1 million, marking a 3.15% rise and just over 15 euros per resident.
At a national level, ticket sales reached 854.1 million euros, reflecting a 2.11% increase from 2024, with spending per resident being 17.79 euros.
By province, the most significant growth has been seen in Valencia (7.48%), followed by Segovia (6.78%), Cáceres (5.77%), La Rioja (5.62%), and Toledo (5.47%). In contrast, Melilla experienced the largest decline at -14.58%, followed by Guipúzcoa (-2.82%) and A Coruña (-2.78%).
The Extraordinary Draw of the ‘El Niño’ Lottery 2025 will distribute a total of 770 million euros in prizes, the same amount as the previous year. The top awards include ‘Gordo,’ which offers 2,000,000 euros per series; the Second Prize at 750,000 euros; and the Third Prize at 250,000 euros. Additionally, there are 20 prizes of 3,500 euros, 1,400 prizes of 1,000 euros per series, and 5,000 prizes of 400 euros, among others.
